In Kırşehir, which has a large agricultural potential, our faculty was established in 1992 as a subordinate of Gazi University and was connected to our new university with the establishment of Ahi Evran University in 2006. With the decision of the faculty board, our first students enrolled in the Department of Agricultural Biotechnology in 2009, the Department of Field Crops in 2010, the Department of Horticulture in 2012, the Department of Animal Science in 2013, the Department of Plant Protection in 2015, and finally the Department of Agricultural Economics in 2016. Apart from these departments that have students, the Departments of Soil Science and Plant Nutrition, Biosystem Engineering and Landscape Architecture were established in 2012 and support departments with undergraduate programs. A total of 21 classrooms and 19 laboratories are used for the conduct of the courses. In the preparation of the department's curricula, the present and future needs of the people in the world are taken into account, and it aims to train graduates who will be active in meeting the needs of the globalizing world.
