Landscape Architecture Department is an applied department that includes the planning, design, restoration and management of the land, based on the principle of protecting and managing natural and cultural landscapes in order to increase the functionality and quality of life of the physical environment.
In our department, an associate professor, a doctoral faculty member and two research assistants continue their studies in the Department of Plant Materials and Breeding.
Mission and VisionIts mission is to contribute to the training of landscape architects who can work in related business lines and related industries and solve possible problems in these areas in line with national and universal requirements. In addition, to teach the techniques for the cultivation and application of plant material needed for open spaces, to carry out research on the cultivation techniques of the species needed in urban and rural areas of different sizes and sizes, to publish the information obtained as a result of researches within the scope of plant material planning and cultivation on scientific platforms. .
Its vision is to be a pioneer in education and research, in landscape planning studies based on the analysis and evaluation of data related to both natural and cultural and socio-economic environments, as well as by introducing new approaches in plant landscape designs that aim to create a healthy, sustainable and high visual quality living environment, and introduce new technologies in the field. to be a discipline that can integrate, change and develop, and to train landscape architects with R&D capability.
Plant Materials and Cultivation Department deals with the importance, use and sustainability of plant material, which has physical, ecological, visual and functional value, in landscape planning and design, in different sizes, scales and functions, as the living component of open and green space designs.
Graduation Requirements
To be successful in minimum 240 ECTS credits by getting at least a CC grade from all the courses determined in the curriculum.
