The Plant Breeders Sub-Association (BİSAB), which organizes an award-winning competition among the students studying in the last year of the Faculties of Agriculture every year, has determined this year's competition theme as "Why Local Varieties are Important in National Variety Development". Our students attended the meeting hosted by Niğde Ömer Halis Demir University on May 11, Plant Breeders' Day, under the supervision of Dr. M. Alev ATEŞ. Kander KOÇ, a student of the Plant Protection Department of our faculty, was awarded the 4th article incentive award for his work titled "The Future of Agriculture is Hidden in Our Local and National Varieties". Congratulations to our student who received an award at the meeting. In addition, various gifts were presented by BİSAB to the senior students of the Field Crops Department, Agricultural Biotechnology Department, Plant Protection Department and Horticulture Department, who are currently the top students of the term.
