




Before the program, Prof. Dr. Vahit Kirişci visited our University Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil and our Faculty of Agriculture Dean Prof. Dr. Selahattin Çınar at their offices. During the meetings, our university's agricultural projects and contributions to regional agriculture were discussed.



The augural speech of the event was given by our Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Selahattin Çınar. Çınar emphasized the historical development of agricultural education and the importance of agriculture in human life, while emphasizing the use of agricultural products as raw materials in industry and industry. Stating that Turkey, as an agricultural country, has developed its agricultural activities with the contributions of agricultural engineers, Çınar thanked those who contributed to the organization of the event.

Later, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, provided information about our university's agricultural projects, the Roughage Production Project, the Walnut-Focused Development Project and the Clustering Project in Thermal Greenhouses. He also touched on the contributions of aromatic plant production and other agricultural activities to the region.

Kırşehir Governor Murat Sefa Demiryürek expressed his pleasure in being at the university for the 179th anniversary events of the beginning of agricultural education. Referring to the importance of agriculture for Turkey in his speech, Governor Demiryürek emphasized the necessity of developing and strengthening agricultural activities in Turkey, which is an agricultural country. He stated that agricultural engineers and scientists have important duties to undertake in this process. Governor Murat Sefa Demiryürek thanked those who contributed to the organization of the program and ended his speech by celebrating Agricultural Engineers Day.

In the program, 66th Term Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Prof. Dr. Vahit Kirişci made a presentation titled “Agricultural Engineering in the Turkish Century”. Drawing attention to the strategic importance of agriculture and the role of technology in agricultural activities, Kirişci said, “It is very important to feed water where it falls and people where they are born.”

Within the scope of the event, awards were also presented to academics who stood out with their academic achievements and projects in our Faculty of Agriculture, students who received support in TÜBİTAK 2209 projects, and students who won the article competition titled “Agricultural Faculty Students’ Perspective on Agricultural Engineering Profession”.




The program ended with a musical recital by Neşet Ertaş Fine Arts Faculty academicians and a souvenir photo shoot.
