The Rector of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım KARAHOCAGİL, accompanied by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin ŞİMŞEK, Director of External Relations Yusuf İslam SÜRÜCÜ, and Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture Prof. Dr. Selahattin ÇINAR, conducted official visits to Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan to expand international collaborations in education and research.

Led by Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım KARAHOCAGİL, these visits facilitated the signing of key agreements aimed at promoting the use of modern techniques in agricultural research and strengthening academic partnerships.


New Agriculture-Focused Agreements in Uzbekistan

Between February 13-16, 2025, the Kırşehir Ahi Evran University delegation held various meetings in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, to establish new academic partnerships. During this visit, the delegation also participated in the II. International Congress of Young Academics of the Turkic World, bringing together representatives from academia and the agricultural sector.

As part of the visit, academic collaboration agreements were signed with Tashkent State Agrarian University and Yangi Asr University, marking a significant step toward developing international joint research projects in agriculture.


Collaborations in Agricultural Science and Technology in Azerbaijan

From February 16-19, 2025, the delegation continued its visits in Azerbaijan, holding discussions with several universities to establish academic collaborations. In particular, agreements were signed with Azerbaijan State Agricultural University (ADAU) to develop joint scientific projects in various agricultural fields.

During the Azerbaijan visit, additional academic cooperation agreements were signed with Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC), Baku State University (BSU), and Azerbaijan Technical University (AZTU). These agreements cover education, research, and academic staff exchange programs.

Furthermore, the delegation met with the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan and his team, engaging in discussions on the current state of agriculture in Türkiye and Azerbaijan and potential areas for future cooperation.

During the official meetings, partner universities were also informed about Kırşehir Ahi Evran University’s quality assurance processes, institutional accreditation, and current quality management systems (BKYS).


A Step Forward in Internationalization and Academic Excellence

The delegation emphasized that these engagements significantly contribute to the university’s vision for internationalization. They stated:
"Building academic bridges within the Turkic world is of great value to us. Our goal is to ensure that the Faculty of Agriculture fully benefits from these partnerships."

With these newly established agreements, Kırşehir Ahi Evran University aims to enhance its global presence by developing joint projects in agricultural science and technology. These collaborations are expected to further strengthen the academic and scientific reputation of the Faculty of Agriculture.
