Hosted by the Faculty of Agriculture at Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, the ISPEC 17th International Congress on Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Rural Development took place in Kırşehir from April 25 to 27, 2025. The event was organized with the support of Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Husbandry and Biotechnology (Uzbekistan), Kazakh National Agrarian University (Kazakhstan), University of Faisalabad, and Multan University of Agriculture (Pakistan).

The opening ceremony began with a moment of silence and the Turkish National Anthem. Prof. Dr. Selahattin Çınar, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, delivered the opening speech, emphasizing the increasing global importance of agriculture and expressing his pleasure in contributing to the field through an international congress. Following this, Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil addressed the audience, stating that as a pilot university specializing in agriculture and geothermal energy, Kırşehir Ahi Evran University takes pride in contributing to the solution of contemporary challenges through both research projects and international academic events.

As part of the opening program, a keynote speech titled “The Relationship Between Science and Ethics” was delivered by Prof. Dr. Sabri Gökmen and received with great interest by participants.

During the ceremony, appreciation plaques and certificates were presented to our sponsors. A plaque was awarded to Mr. Memiş Baran, representative of our main sponsor Memişoğulları Group (AGCO – Massey Ferguson). Appreciation certificates were also presented to Mr. Fahrettin Açıkgöz from Protein Tohumculuk, Mr. Özkan Taşpınar from Taşpınar Tarım Tic. ve San. Ltd. Şti., and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kan on behalf of Dr. Ahmet Yılmaz from Avesa Tohumculuk.

Under the sponsorship of Memişoğulları Group, the congress featured a total of 404 scientific papers, with 89 presented in-person and 315 presented online. The contributions came from 125 different universities and research institutions.
