On May 26, 2025, Agricultural Engineer and author Hasan SOYDAN participated in a seminar titled “Livestock Farming and Ahi Tradition in Türkiye: From Past to Present”, organized by the Agricultural Ahi Tradition Student Community and its advisor, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serdar KAMANLI.
The event, attended by faculty members and students of our Faculty of Agriculture, featured an engaging presentation by Mr. SOYDAN, who discussed the historical development of livestock farming in Türkiye, with particular emphasis on the Ottoman period. He also elaborated on the values and professional ethics of Ahi Evran and the significance of the Ahi tradition in Turkish agricultural culture. Additionally, he provided valuable insights into the current policies and programs of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry regarding livestock development and the conservation of animal genetic resources.
