In the opening programme held with the participation of Kırşehir Governor Murat Sefa Demiryürek and Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım Karahocagil, the historical roots of science and wisdom in Anatolia were emphasised. After the opening speeches, the provincial protocol visited the stands in the festival area and examined the projects prepared by the faculties.
As the Faculty of Agriculture, our academic staff and students participated in the festival and presented various materials introducing agricultural technologies, plant production systems and sustainable agricultural practices. At the faculty stand, remarkable areas such as soil analysis samples, domestic seed presentation, plant identification corner and collections of useful and harmful insects in terms of plant production were also brought together with visitors.
While many public institutions, private sector organisations and various units of the university opened stands at the festival, the stand of the Faculty of Agriculture was among the departments that attracted the most attention of the visitors. Answering the questions of young people who are devoted to science and agriculture, academicians gave detailed information about their departments and studies.
Cacabey Science Festival was successfully organised under the auspices of Kırşehir Governorship and with the contributions of various public institutions and private sector representatives.
