Our university's Agricultural Biotechnology Department student Hakan Yılmaz achieved significant success in the 2025 Green Dot Student Awards organized by the ÇEVKO Foundation with two different projects he prepared under the guidance of his Academic Advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gökhan Filik.

In the competition, where applications from numerous universities across Turkey were evaluated, our team received:
• Won 2nd place in the Environmental Social Responsibility Applications Category for the project titled “Sustainable Living Model in Rural Areas.”
• Won the Incentive Award in the Packaging Eco-Design Category for the project titled “Artificial Intelligence and Digital Tracking for Smart Modular Packaging.”

The awards were presented to the winners at a ceremony held at the Istanbul TOBB Service Building on December 2, 2025.

Speaking at the ceremony, our student and advisor expressed their satisfaction at contributing to our university's work in the areas of sustainability, recycling, nature-friendly technologies, and the circular economy, sharing the following statements:

“We will continue to contribute to our university's vision of sustainability and recycling. We will continue to represent our university on national and international platforms by developing projects that reduce environmental impacts, generate social benefits, and focus on green technology.”

These achievements are a strong indicator of our students' innovative perspective and our university's culture of research and development.

Our university will continue to support all students who develop sustainability-based solutions and environmentally friendly applications.

We congratulate our student and their advisor and wish them continued success.
