In collaboration with the Kırşehir Provincial Police Department and our Faculty, an informational event was organized to raise security awareness among our students and staff.
The event, held on Monday, February 9, 2026, in our Faculty Conference Hall, brought together Kırşehir Provincial Police Department personnel and our students. In presentations given by Police Officer Erhan Çalışkan and Police Officer Gizem Gedik Şahin, detailed information was provided about the structure and operation of terrorist organizations and their methods of recruiting members, particularly targeting young people.
The training focused on the risks of contacts established through social media and other communication channels, the propaganda activities of terrorist organizations, and the preventive measures that can be taken against these traps. Police officers shared examples from real cases on issues that need to be considered for a safe educational life.
The conference, which attracted great interest from participants, ended with a question-and-answer session where questions were answered.
