A conference titled "Mushroom Cultivation from Theory to Practice" was given by mushroom consultant and Agricultural Engineer Yusuf Akdemir on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at 1:30 PM in the Faculty of Agriculture Conference Hall.


The conference focused on the initial stages of Agaricus bisporus production in detail, particularly through field examples based on industry experience. The setup of production rooms, technical requirements, and cost analyses were shared with the participants, providing comprehensive information on mushroom cultivation processes.

Furthermore, the main problems encountered in practice in mushroom cultivation were evaluated, and despite these challenges, the importance of entrepreneurship in the sector and its potential economic returns were emphasized.

At the end of his presentation, Akdemir offered various suggestions to students regarding career planning in the sector, highlighting the importance of supporting theoretical knowledge with practical applications.
