As part of the UNIDES Project titled “Growing Hopes,” the Green Collars Student Club, in collaboration with the Provincial Directorate of the Ministry of Family and Social Services, held the project’s first session in our Faculty’s Conference Hall. In this event, where young people of secondary school age were introduced to modern techniques ranging from the fundamentals of agricultural production to the “farm-to-table” process, the young participants were able to establish a connection with the land and production.

Our Dean, Prof. Dr. Selahattin Çınar, who serves as the society’s advisor, introduced the resources of the Faculty and the University and delivered an enlightening seminar on agriculture and farming. The Provincial Director of Family and Social Services reinforced the project’s inter-institutional importance through his participation and offered his support to the young people.

Following the educational sessions and seminars, a special dinner was organized for the participating youth to foster social interaction.

The first gathering of the project, aimed at helping our youth understand production, connect with nature, and look to the future with hope, concluded with the slogan “We’ve taken the first step; let’s continue to nurture hope together!” and a photo session.
