Students from the Department of Animal Science at the Faculty of Agriculture, Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, organized a technical field trip to the Beyaz Solar Livestock Facility in Sevdiğin Village on April 9, 2026, as part of their Professional Practice II and IV courses, under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Koray Kırıkçı.

During the visit, facility owner Erhan Avşar shared his knowledge and experience in the field of sheep farming with the students. Avşar emphasized the importance of renewable energy use, noting that the facility’s entire energy needs are met through installed solar panels.

As part of the technical visit, students had the opportunity to gain hands-on field knowledge about the fundamental elements to consider when planning a sheep farming operation.

Thanks to the organized visit, students were able to observe the information they had acquired in theoretical classes firsthand and also develop their professional perspectives.
