At the start of the programme, the farm owner, Zeki AFYON, provided a comprehensive briefing on the general structure of the facility and the production processes. Subsequently, both the rearing and laying poultry houses were visited, and the rearing practices carried out in these areas were explained in detail. Furthermore, technical information on disease management, biosecurity measures and feeding strategies was provided by the responsible veterinary surgeons, Erdem Mehmet YILDIRIM and Bahar YILDIRIM.
Later in the event, refreshments were served to the participants; at the end of the tour, a general evaluation was conducted, the students’ questions were answered, and a mutual exchange of views took place. Thanks to this technical tour, the students gained important knowledge and experience regarding field practices in the egg poultry sector.
