Students from the Department of Animal Science, Faculty of Agriculture, at Kırşehir Ahi Evran University organised a technical visit on 7 May 2026 to the Kırşehir feed, slaughterhouse and livestock farming facility, which belongs to the İstanbul Et Kırşehir Slaughterhouse, located in the village of Körpınar in the Kırşehir district, as part of their Professional Practice II and IV courses. The Plant Manager, Agricultural Engineer Salih GÜLEN, provided the students with detailed information on the plant’s operations and his practical experience and expertise in livestock farming.
Students from the Department of Animal Science had the opportunity to gain practical experience in the following sections of the plant:
• Beef Cattle Farm,
• Mixed Feed Factory,
• Slaughterhouse.
Through this visit, the students were able to reinforce the knowledge they had acquired in their theoretical lessons by observing it in the field, whilst also developing their professional perspectives.
