
In the first part of the visit, students were given comprehensive information about the testing, inspection, and conformity assessment activities carried out by TAMTEST. Within the program, students were informed about the testing processes for agricultural tractors and agricultural machinery and technologies produced in Turkey or imported from abroad, in accordance with the "Regulation on the Principles of Testing and Inspection of Agricultural Machinery and Agricultural Technology Vehicles". Information was also provided about tests conducted within the scope of OECD Tractor Codes.


During the technical visit, students were given information about the type approval testing and inspection processes of T, C, R, and S category agricultural and forestry vehicles within the scope of the "Regulation on Type Approval and Market Surveillance and Inspection of Agricultural and Forestry Vehicles (EU/167/2013)" and the conformity assessment criteria applied in accordance with the "Machinery Safety Regulation (2006/42/EC)".


During the visit, students also had the opportunity to examine the technical infrastructure and work areas of the Directorate on-site. It was stated that the technical visit contributed to reinforcing the students' theoretical knowledge in the field of agricultural machinery with practical examples. Associate Professor Dr. Ömer Ertuğrul and Assistant Professor Dr. Gülden Özgünaltay Ertuğrul, the Vice Dean of our Faculty who participated in the technical visit, conveyed their best wishes to Dr. Nihat Sönmez, who was appointed to the position of Director of TAMTEST. During the visit, thanks were also extended to Dr. Nihat Sönmez and the institution's officials and employees for their hospitality.
In the second part of the program, the Doğanlar Agriculture and Agricultural Machinery Industry Trade Inc. facilities were visited. Here, students had the opportunity to learn about production processes, factory operations, and the industrial aspects of the agricultural machinery sector. During the visit, students closely observed sector practices by examining production processes on-site.
