The Research Committee Meeting was held with the participation of our University's Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Güneş, the Dean of our Faculty Prof. Dr. Selahattin Çınar, the Dean of Erciyes University Faculty of Agriculture Prof. Dr. Serkan Şahan, JİSTUAM Director Hakan Başak, and JİSTUAM Board Member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hakan Keleş, alongside Ar-Ge representatives from our university, Erciyes University, and Yozgat Bozok University. The meeting aimed to develop the studies carried out within the Joint Application and Research Center for Geothermal Advanced Greenhouse Technologies and Production Techniques (JİSTUAM)—which continues to serve agricultural Ar-Ge activities on a national scale while basing itself on regional development by continuously strengthening its research infrastructure thanks to the strong support of our university's rectorate, and continues its development with the scientific knowledge and contributions of our faculty in partnership with Erciyes University and Yozgat Bozok University—and to strengthen inter-university research collaborations.

The meeting provided an opportunity for the partner institutions coming together under the umbrella of JİSTUAM to share their future-oriented research and development visions..

The event, which was the first meeting to bring together representatives from Yozgat Bozok University, Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, and Erciyes University on the same platform, comprehensively addressed collaborative opportunities regarding joint research areas, interdisciplinary work possibilities, researcher mobility, project development processes, and national/international funding sources.

During the highly productive discussions, it was emphasized that significant projects could be implemented in priority areas such as agriculture, sustainable production, climate change, and innovative technologies by bringing together the academic knowledge and research infrastructure possessed by the three universities. The participants reached a consensus on strengthening cooperation at the institutional level and developing a shared research culture.

Following the meeting, the delegation conducted inspections at the Ar-Ge Greenhouse. Receiving information about the research activities carried out in the greenhouse, technical infrastructure facilities, and ongoing studies, the participants had the opportunity to evaluate the application areas on-site. During the technical visit, the potential of the greenhouse in terms of regional agricultural research and university-industry collaborations was also discussed.

While the Research Committee Meeting is expected to make significant contributions to the development of long-term and sustainable collaborations among the partner universities, it was stated that efforts will continue toward increasing joint projects and research activities in the upcoming period.
