Our Faculty of Agriculture held its graduation ceremony for the 2025-2026 academic year on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at the 15 July National Will Hall of the Ahi Evran Congress and Culture Center in the Bağbaşı Campus. The ceremony, enlivened by the intense participation of the students and the enthusiasm of their families, turned into an academic festivity.
The ceremony began with an opening speech, followed by a moment of silence and the singing of the Turkish National Anthem. The program opened with short promotional films introducing the university and the faculty to the participants.
Our Dean, Prof. Dr. Selahattin Çınar, expressed his wishes for the graduates' success and delivered his speech regarding the meaning and importance of the day. Following him, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kasım KARAHOCAGİL, took the stage and received great applause from the audience for his remarks highlighting the academic success of the faculty and the contributions of the graduates to the country's agriculture. After the speeches, the students who completed their education in our faculty with high honors were invited to the stage, and their certificates of achievement and plaques were presented. Faculty valedictorian Muttalip KILIÇEL, salutatorian Burak YERLİKAYA, and third-place winners Nurgül NURAL and Fatmanur GÜLHAN received their awards amidst the enthusiastic applause of the participants.
While the traditional honor sash (shet) was bound around the faculty valedictorian Muttalip KILIÇEL, his name was also inscribed onto the faculty graduation log. Taking the floor afterwards, the faculty valedictorian shared his graduation excitement with the participants through an emotional speech.
Following the faculty honors, the students who ranked top in their respective departments were also invited to the stage, and their certificates of achievement and gifts were presented by the department heads and academic advisors.
The ceremony continued with all graduating students from the departments of Horticulture, Plant Protection, Biosystems Engineering, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Biotechnology, Field Crops, and Animal Science being called to the stage one by one as their names were read. The department faculty members personally presented the diplomas to the students.
In the final part of the program, all students were invited to the stage to take the Ahi Order Oath (Ahilik Yemini) under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Rüştü HATİPOĞLU. The graduation excitement reached its peak as the students threw their caps into the sky. The ceremony concluded with a group photo session where all our graduates came together.
