Under the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Kırşehir Ahi Evran University and Abai University in Kazakhstan, Rauan Amzeyev and Otegen Sagadat Armanuly, PhD students from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography at Abai University, successfully completed their scientific research placements at the Department of Animal Science, Faculty of Agriculture, Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr Koray Kırıkçı.

During the internship programme, PhD students received theoretical and practical training on the scientific research carried out in the Department of Animal Science’s laboratories, molecular genetics studies, DNA isolation, PCR techniques, agarose gel electrophoresis and genetic analysis processes. The students had the opportunity to learn the latest scientific methods relevant to their fields through practical application and to develop their research skills.

It is expected that the scientific research placement will make a significant contribution to the development of academic cooperation between the two universities, the conduct of joint scientific research, and the enhancement of the exchange of knowledge and experience amongst researchers.


PhD students Rauan Amzeyev and Otegen Sagadat Armanuly, who successfully completed the internship programme, were presented with their certificates. As part of the collaboration between the universities, there are plans to continue efforts in the coming periods to facilitate joint projects, publications, and the mobility of students and academics.
