A mushroom cultivation course organised for convicted offenders on probation in Kırşehir has been successfully completed. The training, which lasted a total of 30 hours over three weeks, comprised theoretical and practical sessions delivered by Research Assistant Melike Kübra Karabacak, a member of the academic staff at Kırşehir Ahi Evran University.

The final practical session of the training course took place at the Mushroom Application and Research Centre, which operates under Kırşehir Ahi Evran University. Here, the course participants had the opportunity to observe and practise all stages of mushroom production first-hand.

As part of the programme, participants were provided with information on the technical principles of mushroom cultivation, production processes, hygiene regulations and marketing opportunities. The primary aim of the training was to support the inmates’ participation in production by developing their vocational skills and to contribute to their reintegration into society.
