The meeting began by addressing the need to ensure that curricula are implemented effectively and that timetables are drawn up taking into account the Faculty’s current physical facilities and educational infrastructure. Measures to ensure the efficient use of resources in teaching and learning processes, the delivery of lectures in suitable physical environments, and the optimisation of academic planning were also discussed.
With a view to involving our students in the project culture at an earlier stage, it was decided to encourage the structuring of undergraduate final-year projects as projects under the TÜBİTAK 2209 University Students’ Research Projects Support Programme.
The meeting also discussed the evaluation of final-year projects within the departments and the submission of the three most outstanding projects from each department to the Dean’s Office. It was planned to provide students and supervisors with the necessary guidance and incentives to ensure that the selected projects participate in national and regional project fairs, competitions and similar scientific events.
Another item on the meeting’s agenda was increasing participation rates in scientific, academic, social and institutional events organised by our University and Faculty. It was decided to develop motivation, information and guidance initiatives to ensure that academic and administrative staff, as well as students, participate more actively in these events.
The meeting concluded with a discussion of the work to be carried out to evaluate the views and suggestions received from the departments and to ensure that the decisions taken are reflected in the relevant academic processes.
